A tranquil walk amid the decaying grandeur of The Grange house and parkland at Northington

One of my favourite places in Hampshire is The Grange at Northington. A stunning example of Greek Revival architecture, the decaying grandeur of the house and beautifully manicured grounds provide the perfect setting for afternoon walks and summer picnics.

I love spending time at The Grange because of its tranquility and the window it provides in to history. Having a busy work life, spending weekends in the sun walking around The Grange and surrounding parkland with friends or just the dogs, essentially in the middle of nowhere, provides a welcome break.

Although the house isn’t open to the public I’ve been lucky enough to work on a fashion photo shoot there and can vouch for the beauty inside and out. From May to July each year you too could take a peek inside and attend The Grange Park Opera – a complete cultural treat!
